Mary Wagner, a new kind of public servant
I am a lifelong resident of Maui. I am supporting Mary Wagner for the state House Wailuku District seat. Mary has worked as a police officer, crime scene investigator, police records and identification manager, and information and technology manager.
She has over 20 years of volunteer work with the Democratic Party on Oahu and Maui and was elected as a delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention. She has lived in the Kehalani community for the past 20 years and serves on the board of that community. She has been very active with the HGEA union, serving on the HGEA state board of directors, president of the Unit 13 employees, and on the HGEA Contract Negotiations Team.
But all of these experiences are not as important as raising her three children, Stephanie, Christy and Nicholas, who graduated from Baldwin High School and played on the Bears MIL championship basketball 2006 team.
I know Mary is an independent thinker who is committed to the dignity and rights of every person. She is very concerned about Maui’s high cost of living and low wages and is committed to work on these issues for us. She has accepted no contributions from any corporation.
I have supported Mary’s campaign because I believe that it is time for a new kind of public servant for the Wailuku district. Mary Wagner has the right educational, work and life experiences to bring real change. It’s time to vote for Mary Wagner.
