A chain is only as strong as its weakest link
Maybe we should rethink this. We are as a nation spending $650 billion on our military. Russia spends $60 billion and China $200 billion. The military advisers say we are vulnerable to cyberattacks that could shut down our defense and our ability to attack.
Maybe we should put more money into our education and research so that some 400-pound fat kid lying on a bed somewhere or a guy sitting behind a desk drinking vodka and eating knish cannot penetrate our superior, questionable military. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
