It will be held Wednesday, March 30 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Maui Culinary Academy in Kahului. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are highly recommended. For more details, call Charlene Kauhane, Slow Food Maui Education co-chair, at 243-2290.
“We had an excellent turnout for the first Taste Education session featuring local coffee producers,” said Ka'uhane. “We’re honored to present Melissa and others as we work to bring local producers in our community to the forefront so others may learn about their work, how their product is made, where to find it and more.” “It’s inspiring to meet the people behind the product and craft,” said Chris Speere, Slow Food Maui co-chair. “This will be a fun session.” As icing on the cake, the Grand Taste Education will be presented at the fourth annual Maui County Agricultural Festival, Saturday, April 2. While the festival is free, tickets are $25 for the Grand Taste Education, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s best to purchase online at maui county farm bureau.
