| | Peace nowOctober 3, 2011 - Harry EagarFrom a press release received today: "HONOLULU (MMD Newswire) October 3, 2011 - - The formal announcement of the establishment of Hawaii-based Zhou Enlai Peace Institute will occur on Monday, November 11, 2011, at a special luncheon program at the Coral Ballroom of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the co-founders of the nonprofit, international organization said today." Hmmm. I don't link Zhou, an advocate of and participant in a violent revolution, with peace. I know nothing about this venture and probably don't want to know. Years ago, I ran across an Acton Institute that was said to devote itself to free expression. I'm for free expression, but Action (the "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" guy) was not. I guess there's not much you can do, after you're dead, to see that people do not appropriate your name to purposes you wouldn't have liked, as happened to, say, John Birch, unless your name has commercial value, like, say Marilyn Monroe.
