November 18, 2011 - Robert Collias
HALAWA, Oahu — The Baldwin football is hanging around in its First Hawaiian Bank semifinal against Punahou, trailing 14-0 with a little more than 3 minutes left in the second quarter at Aloha Stadium.
The Bears are struggling in the field position battle, having started thrice from their own 20 after touchbacks on kickoffs the other two times at their own 5- and 12-yard lines.
With the exception of Punahou's first and fourth drives, the Bears have hung pretty tough on defense. The first Buffanblu scoring drive was nine plays and covered 76 yards, capped by a 3-yard scoring pass Larry Tuileta and second touchdown was covered 57 yards and took eight plays.
Punahou has started its possessions from its 24-, 30-, 30- and 43-yard lines.
Stay tuned for updates, the next one at halftime with stats.
