| | True gritJanuary 22, 2012 - Harry EagarI can hardly believe it, but this political season, already the most amusing since 1968, is getting even better. Ben Cayetano is going to run for mayor of Honolulu. Honolulu mayoral races are already known for abrasiveness, and Cayetano is the most abrasive politician I have ever reported on in over 40 years. Second-most abrasive was Frank Fasi, although I had little contact with him. Dunno why the Aloha state should throw up such rough customers, but Fasi and Cayetano were very popular, so it must answer some profound chord in the island voters.
