Pasoni Tasini commits to Utah

The Deseret News in Utah is reporting that Baldwin High School defensive lineman Pasoni Tasini has verbally committed to the University of Utah.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Tasini is the reigning MIL Boy Athlete of the Year and was a four-sport MIL first-team All-Star last year. He was also the MIL Defensive Player of the Year in football in 2011.

Tasini visited Oregon State last weekend, Chad Kauhaahaa was here last week to watch him play basketball and he also had offers from Hawaii, OSU and UNLV.

He is traveling back from his trip to Salt Lake City now and we will have much more on this developing story in tomorrow's paper.

National Letter of Intent signing day is Wednesday.
