Temporarily Peter Bergman

Peter Bergman is dead. He was the instigator of the Firesign Theatre, which was mostly goofy but achieved as good a piece of satire as any Americans ever did in "Temporarily Humboldt County."

The lines from that piece aren't in themselves quotable, unlike Twain, but anyone who knows the context will not be able to suppress a smile remembering "Domine, domine, domine, yer all Cath'lics naow"; "Get the senator back on the bus"; "Call me Eddie"; and "Oh, my white brother."
