The flying car hoax

No doubt you've read about the Transition, the "roadable" aircraft or flying car. Well, it might fly but it won't drive.

Can you imagine trying to drive along Honoapiilani Highway at Ukumehame at midnight trailing those big windcatchers out back? You'd be piled up in the fields. Ditto for I-80 in Iowa during the winter or any other road with strong crosswinds.

A Dutch company is testing the PAL-V, a combined car-gyrocoopter. It looks slightly more roadworthy, but not much.
