Victorino takes out full-page ad to thank Philly fans
August 3, 2012 - Robert Collias
The reaction of Shane Victorino leaving Philadelphia has been far-reaching. There is no doubt he was a beloved player for his big-time hits, hard play, and just plain success in the clutch, which have been well-documented here throughout the years.
A lot of Phillie Phans are still crying in their beer over losing a beloved part of their recent lore.
And the feeling is obviously mutual for Victorino and his family. Here is look at the advertisement they took out in the Philadelphia Daily News to say "Mahalo."
And here is a pretty special memory of Shane, from a Phillie fan.
Shane was 0-for-4 in his Dodger debut, but Los Angeles fans were clearly happy to get him. BTW, he is now a lot closer to his off-season home in Las Vegas and it will be a lot easier for mom and dad, Mike and Joycelyn Victorino to visit their grandchildren.
