Kauai leads Na Alii 39-6 after three quarters

August 19, 2012 - Robert Collias
Third quarter update: Kauai added three TDs in the third quarter to take a 39-6 lead.

Halftime Update: Keegan Gregg had 10 catches for 109 yards, but his King Kekaulike team trails 18-6 early in the second half.

I am at King Kekaulike Stadium for Na Alii's first game of the season, vs. Kauai High.

Pretty good crowd as we settle in about 10 minutes before kickoff. We will see Kekaulike quarterback debut of Ryley Widell, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound sophomore who had a lot of time on the field in other positions last season.

Kauai lost a playoff game to Kapaa — playing across the street at Kanaiaupuni Stadium right now — last season for the KIF crown, while King Kekaulike finished 1-7 in the MIL.

Stay tuned, no radio coverage tonight, so we will try to keep y'all updated right here.
