Seabury Hall, St. Anthony win 8-player debuts
September 15, 2012 - Robert Collias
The Seabury Hall football team won its first game Friday night at War Memorial Stadium — the first official eight-player game in state history — 23-20 win over Molokai.
St. Anthony returned to official football with a 48-12 win over Hana on the Dragons' first football homecoming day ever. Heck, it was Hana's first football game period.
Talked to Tylan Rogers right after the Trojans' game and he had this to say:
"It is awesome to see St. Anthony back on the football field. It is one of those things where people have been talking, 'Hey, we have MIL coming up.' We only had three teams last year (in unoffical play), so this is awesome to have Hana a part of this league. . . . This is huge for St. Anthony because football is a St. Anthony tradition. Now, we are able to start bringing that back."
More on the Trojans' first football game, and win, since 2008 in Sunday morning's paper.
