Kaluka Maiava will participate with players at Hard Naks speed clinic on Saturday at MTP

Former Baldwin High School and Southern California standout linebacker Kaluka Maiava — currently an NFL free agent after four seasons with the Cleveland Browns — will participate with players in his lifelong buddy's Cody Nakamura's Hard Naks clinic on Saturday.

Here is the press release I received from Nakamura a half hour ago:

WAILUKU — It's that time of the year again to get fit, fast and have fun. HardNaks is back to deliver its high-performance speed camps for Maui's youth.

This week Saturday, the 26th of January, Cleveland Browns Middle Linebacker Kaluka Maiava will be participating in the speed camp with the 9:00am-10:30am group and will be speaking to the kids at 10:30am. Also, Yogurtland at the Queen Kaahumanu Center will be sponsoring the first 100 participants with free yogurt! Participants will also receive a free Hard Naks T-shirt signed by Kaluka Maiava. Speed camps are at the Maui Tropical Plantation, boys and girls of all ages are invited to train in speed, agility, balance and core. The hour and a half workouts are specifically designed around different age groups. The cost is $10 per person and cash or credit card only.

Elementary students camps will run from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Intermediate students from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. High school students from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. All ages, schools and athletes are invited to participate.

HardNaks was started by Cody Nakamura of Wailuku. Nakamura, a high school and collegiate athlete, will lead the camps. This is the second season of speed camps, which began in February 2012.
