| | Ewaliko, Reinhardt shine in Polynesian all-star gameFebruary 2, 2013 - Robert ColliasTheir team lost 14-0, but Baldwin High School seniors Keelan Ewaliko and Abraham Reinhardt represented well in the Polynesian All-American Classic in La Mirada, Calif. The game was two weeks ago, but I finally rounded up the statistics from Team Black's shutout victory over Team White. Ewaliko, perhaps taking his last snaps as a quarterback, was 4-for-19 passing for 45 yards as the University of Hawaii commit struggled to connect with receivers after just two practices. He did find Kahuku's Johnson Kawehena on a 39-yard reception, however. It was rushing where Ewaliko excelled — he had 80 yards on 13 carries, with a long gain of 17 yards. The rest of Team White combined for minus-1 yard on seven carries, including two totes for zero yards by Kahuku standout Aofaga Wily. Reinhardt, who has an invited walk-on offer from UH, had a team-high five tackles and grabbed an interception. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
