The Bald-Headed Truth
POSTED:Sun, August 24, 2008 @ 11:30PM
MIL cross country opensThe Maui High School cross country teams — boys and girls — made loud statements in the MIL opener on the Sabers’ campus Saturday.Looks like it could be the Bailey (Massenburg) and Hailey (Grossman) show all season among th top girls, as that pair of state track champions ran away from the field early before King Kekaulike’s Massenburg finished the 5K course in 20 minutes, 26 seconds — 6 seconds in front of Seabury Hall’s Grossman. Among the individual boys, King Kekaulike’s Reid Hunter was all by himself. The Seabury Hall girls (four runners in the top six) look like they could improve on their second-place finish at state last year.
