Baldwin, Maui High to meet for fifth place at state baseball

One day after their state-title dreams died, the Maui High and Baldwin baseball teams advanced to the fifth-place game of the Wally Yonamine Foudnation state baseball tournament at Maehara Stadium.

Baldwin beat Kailua 7-5 behind a complete-game 11-hitter from Noah Apolo.

Maui High beat Waiakea 3-1 behind a complete-game six-hitter from T.J. Molina.

The MIL foes meet for the sixth time this season Saturday at noon.
