Isagawa finishes tied for 23rd at NCAA women's golf
May 24, 2013 - Robert Collias
Baldwin graduate Cassy Isagawa had a tough day in the same round her Oregon team did at the NCAA Wom,en's Golf Championships today at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
Isagawa, a first-team All-American last season who entered the day at even par for the tournament, shot 6-over 78 to slip from a tie for 14th to a tie for 23rd at 294.
It is Isagawa's first go-round at the NCAA tournament, and IMHO, just the beginning of the potential for the second half of her career for the Ducks.
Oregon slid from 17th to 22nd in the 24-team field with a round of 324 to finish 65-over at 1,217.
USC shattered the tournament total strokes record at 19-under 1,133 to win by 21 strokes over Duke. The Trojans set the single-round scoring mark at 276 on Wednesday. Annie Park led the way for the Trojans by winning the individual crown by six strokes at 10-under 278.
