June 3, 2013 - Robert Collias
Baldwin graduate Cassy Isagawa, a first-team All-American last season, continues her amazing ride through college golf for the University of Oregon.
I just saw this on the goducks.com website:
EUGENE, Ore. — Sophomore Cassy Isagawa of the University of Oregon women’s golf team has been honored with several postseason awards after leading the Ducks to the NCAA Championships.
The Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced its all-region teams, with Isagawa being named to the West region team. The WGCA also announced its 2012-13 All-American teams. Forty players were named in total, including Isagawa who was listed as an honorable mention All-American. The Pac-12 Conference also recognized Isagawa by naming her second-team all-league.
This season, Isagawa won her first collegiate tournament at the Topy Cup in Japan. Her season scoring average of 72.86 (22nd in the nation) ranks second in school history behind her own record of 72.76 as a freshman. She ranks first on UO’s career scoring average list with an average score of 72.81 in 69 rounds. Her career finish percentage of 84.9 percent ranks first in school history. Isagawa also ranks second in school history in career rounds of par or better with 36 (in 69 total rounds). Kendra Little is the all-time leader with 40 rounds of par or better (in 134 total rounds).
Additionally, sophomores Cali Hipp and Monica Petchakan received postseason honors as they were named honorable mention all-academic by the Pac-12 Conference.
