Baldwin vs. Maui High, has The Big Game come back?

August 24, 2013 - Robert Collias
After a thrilling 3-0 junior varsity victory for Maui High that ended with Baldwin on the Sabers' 12-yard line, a good crowd -- including both school bands -- is gathering for the Maui High-Baldwin varsity game at War Memorial Stadium.

The Sabers have not beaten the Bears in the last 24 meetings, dating back to a 37-20 victory on Nov. 4, 2000.

For the Sabers, running back Mario Fernandez is on crutches, DL Leka Vainikolo is also on crutches and has been declared out for the season, and RB Soane Vaohea is wearing jeans with his jersey for the third straight week. Also I count seven Bears in T-shirts and jeans, but I cannot tell who is who because they are not wearing jerseys.

Stay tuned right here -- I will try to update after each quarter.
