Isagawa named Golfweek's national player of the week
September 28, 2013 - Robert Collias
University of Oregon junior Cassy Isagawa was named Golfweek magazine's national player of the week on Monday after her six-stroke win in the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, where she topped the 90-player field with a 12-under three-round score of 207.
The former Baldwin state champion and PGA Junior national champion won for the second time in her career. The two-time all-Pac-12 selection already owns the two best season stroke averages in Oregon history and her 71.67 average through six rounds this season is better than both of them.
The Ducks are in play again Oct. 8-9 in Sammamish, Wash., and finish their five-tournament fall schedule in Kohala Nov. 4-5 for the Pac-12 Preview (yeah, that's the name of the tournament, on the Big Island).
Presumably because of that trip, the Ducks do not have the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Kapalua on their spring schedule — they have been here the last two seasons to play in the event hosted by the University of Hawaii.
