Sleep With the Sharks
October 3, 2013 - Carla Tracy
Say “Sleep With The Sharks” to a parent, and it might be their worst nightmare. But Sleep With the Sharks is, in fact, an popular ongoing overnight adventure for children at Maui Ocean Center— and it gives parents the night off to have a little fun on their own.
“The next Sleep With The Sharks is on Friday, October 4th! “ says Maui Ocean Center’s new Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator Krystle Alcain. “They will have the unique opportunity to spend the night either next to our enchanting Open Ocean exhibit teeming with over 21 sharks, stingrays and fish, or next to the mystifying Sea Jellies exhibit —-a favorite among previous sleepover participants.”
In addition, a variety of kid-friendly educational activities and games will be included, as well as a pizza party and light breakfast.
“Each child must bring his or her own white cotton pillow case for a 'thrilling' gyotaku printing activity,” continues Alcain. Deadline to sign up is today. Reservations are required as space is limited. For more details, call (808) 270-7075 or visit Maui Ocean Center Website.
