Greg McMackin guided the University of Hawaii football team to a 6-7 record last season. The Warriors open their 2010 schedule against Southern California.
HONOLULU — The University of Hawaii on Monday announced its 2010 football schedule, one which keeps the Warriors on the field for 10 consecutive weekends. Unlike years past, UH will not have the benefit of an early-season bye week. After opening the season against perennial powerhouse Southern California, the Warriors will play a game every week for the next two months. UH finishes up the stretch on Nov. 6 on the blue turf at Boise State, the defending Western Athletic Conference champion and winner of last season’s Fiesta Bowl. Also unlike previous years, the Warriors are scheduled to appear on national television just once this season. Earlier Monday, ESPN announced its college football schedule, with the Warriors’ game against the Trojans at Aloha Stadium slated to be nationally televised. Last season, the Warriors fell short of a Hawaii Bowl berth by finshing 6-7 in Greg McMackin’s second year as head coach.
