Kila Kila will share originals, old favorites and island sounds during this month’s First Friday Wailuku.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 5 FIRST FRIDAY WAILUKU First Friday Wailuku will hit the streets from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with select businesses hosting after-hours festivities. Kila Kila will take over the stage at Banyan Tree Park with its blend of originals, old favorites and island sounds. Cranking up the decibels will be Luke 808 and Catastrophic with their hip-hop sounds. Gallerie Ha will host artist Gary Kubota, who will be painting to music by Les Adams and Dorothy Betz. The gallery will also host ALOHA?Poetry SLAM beginning at 8 p.m.; all ages are invited to compete for a cash prize. The Art Walk will feature art, crafts and other creations for sale. MAUI CHEFS PRESENT Feast on delicious cuisine, sip on fine wines and listen to fabulous live music during the 16th annual “Maui Chefs Present, Culinary Olympics:?The Road to the Ritz” from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.
