What is wrong with people? Why does everyone believe that just because they don't like or agree with something, their first solution is to run to the government and have it banned. Whether we are talking about gay marriage, guns, or cell phones on planes, people think they somehow have the right to lobby the government to fix all of life's problems.

God forbid you have to listen to a persons cell phone conversation, because you decided you didn't want to buy earplugs or headphones for your flight. Or, heaven forbid, you have to fly on an airline which prohibits cell phone use, while allowing other airlines to make their own business decisions.

No, people like you decide that what is best for you is best for everyone, and if you don't like something then it should be banned, period. We must have uniformity and conformity! One universal standard that all people must follow!

If only we could ban busybodies and tyrants, that would be an improvement.
