Maui competitors win 23 medals
CLEVELAND – Competitors from Maui won 23 medals at the U.S. Senior National Taekwondo Championships held Thursday through Sunday.
Maui Taekwondo Center’s Stephanie Garcia won a silver and bronze medals and Christine Pettit won a bronze.Ten competitors from Kiffman Taekwondo medaled at the event. Michael Balderas, Jake Bonnel and Imelda Castro, Deziree McGuire each won one gold and one silver.
Claire Castro won a gold medal while Chelsea Davis earned one gold and two bronze medals.
Matthew Daniells and Jessica Thyne each won one silver and one bronze.
Kathryn Kiffmann won one gold medal and one bronze and Andrea Thyne won two bronze medals.
