KIFFMANN ATHLETES CLAIM SEVEN MEDALS
PORTLAND, Ore. – Angelo Deloso-Flocco of Kiffmann Taekwondo won two gold medals in the color-belt division at last weekend’s national championships qualifier.Isaac Owades won a gold and a bronze in the color-belt division.
In the black-belt division, Jessica Thyne won a gold, and Miles Kiffmann and Andrea Thyne each won bronzes.
The U.S. championships are scheduled for July 9-16 at San Jose, Calif.
GOLF EVENT TO BENEFIT KEIKI HULA COMPETITORS
WAIKAPU – The Road to Keiki Hula Golf Tournament is scheduled for April 28 at Kahili Golf Course, with a 7 a.m. shotgun start.
The event, conducted by Halau Kekuaokala’au’ala’iliahi, is a fundraiser for 40 youths who will be competing in the Queen Lili’uokalani keiki hula event.
The entry fee is $125 per person, which will pay for greens fees, a cart, awards, a banquet and entertainment. Registration will begin at 6 a.m. on the day of the event. Prizes include golf rounds, boat cruises and hotel stays, and Maui Toyota will offer a car as the prize in a hole-in-one-contest.
The event is seeking sponsorship as well.

ROYAL LAHAINA TO HOST FINAL TENNIS EVENT
LAHAINA – The Spring Doubles Tennis Championship scheduled for Saturday and Sunday is to be the final event at the Royal Lahaina Resort and Tennis Center.
The courts are to be eliminated to allow for the construction of residences.
The event is scheduled to have more than 150 participants in levels from 3.0 to open.
