Hirono helping children on Maui get a Head Start

WAILUKU – As part of her push for quality early childhood education, Congresswoman Mazie Hirono made a stop at an Early Head Start program in Wailuku on Thursday.

Hirono read the book "No David" to preschool students and staff with the Kupukupu Childhood Development Program at Maui Family Support Services Thursday afternoon in Wailuku. She presented the book written by David Shannon to the facility that provides a full-day child development program to children age 6 weeks through 3 years.
