Carlin is the daughter of Jackie Pias Carlin of Kihei and the late James Andrew Carlin of Birmingham, Ala. She is a guidance counselor at Gwendolyn Woolley Elementary School in Las Vegas. The bride is a 1995 graduate of Seabury Hall and has a master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
The groom, the son of Leroy and Kathy de Caires of Kaneohe, is the entertainment director for travellinkunlimited.com. He is a 1997 graduate of St. Louis High School and attended Menlo College in California
The reception, hosted by the groom’s family and Thomas F. Seif, hanai father of the bride, was held at the Sugarman Estate in Makena with about 200 guests from Maui, Oahu, Big Island and seven Mainland states.
The couple will make their home in Las Vegas.
