WAILEA — Francine Nicole Jenkins and Jonathon Edward Walraven, both of Kihei, are engaged to be married May 19, 2009, at Keawakapu Beach.
The couple selected that date because the groom’s maternal grandparents were married May 19, 1956, and will celebrate their 53rd anniversary at the couple’s wedding.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Angela Jenkins of Ventura, Calif., and is an artist and homemaker to the couple’s son, Lionel.
The groom to be is the son of Jim and Sherry Poppe of Kihei. He is employed in the mental health field.
