POOUAHI-WEEKS

WAILUKU — Mathew Tyler Weeks proposed to Jodi Lynn Makanani Poouahi at his basic training graduation ceremony in Oklahoma in March, and they are engaged to be married Oct. 18, 2008.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Charles and Kathleen Poouahi of Paia. A member of the Seabury Hall Class of 2003, she graduated from Heald College on Oahu and now works for Goodfellow Brothers.

Her fiance is the son of Wesley and Robin Weeks of Haiku. He graduated from King Kekaulike High School in 2004. He graduated with honors from basic training at Fort Sill and now is stationed on Maui with the 411th Engineer Battalion.

The wedding ceremony will be in Wailea, and the reception will be held at the Haiku Community Center.
