HAWAII STATE ASSESSMENT TEST: MAUI CONTY RESULTS

August 17, 2008
The Maui News

The Hawaii State Assessment tests were given to public school students in April. The results are used to measure student proficiency in reading and math and to determine a school's status and compliance with the federal No Child Left Behind Act standards. Some Maui County schools and grade levels are not listed in the chart below because of state Deparment of Education privacy rules. Hana, Paia, Lanai's 4th grade, Kaunakakai, Kilohana, Maunaloa, Kualapuu's 4th grade and Kihei Charter School's grades 3-8 are not shown because because fewer than 40 students took the test. More results are available at the Web site www.doe.k12.hi.us at the link "On the DOE Newsstand."
