WAILEA - Karyn Yamamura and Ryan Arakawa were married Aug. 16, 2008, at the Four Seasons Resort Maui with the Rev. Pia Aluli officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Theodore and Sue Yamamura of Haiku. Her bridal party included her sister, Kathleen Uno, and her cousins, Tami and Nadine Yamamura.
The groom is the son of Stanley and Aileen Arakawa of Haliimaile. His groomsmen were best friends John Baker and Lenn Nakama, and his brother-in-law, John Uno.

Both the bride and groom graduated from King Kekau-like High School in 2000 and earned bachelor of science degrees in business management at Oregon State University in 2004. The bride also earned a master's degree in business administration at her alma mater in 2005. The groom currently is pursuing a master's degree in education from the University of Phoenix.
The couple resides in Haiku.
