WAILUKU - Young Brothers Ltd. and Hawaiian Tug & Barge presented a $1,500 check to Imua Family Services for its annual Camp Imua.

Held each June since 1976, Camp Imua is a free, weeklong recreational camp for 50 people, ages 6 to 20, with special needs and disabilities.

It is held at Camp Maluhia in Kahakuloa, where the campers enjoy crafts, games, swimming, helicopter rides and other fun, and make friends.

More than 100 volunteers are involved at each camp.

"We are so thankful to those in the community who support Camp Imua such as Young Brothers," said Karen Jayne, executive director of Imua Family Services. "Their support helps ensure the continuation of this much-needed program for Maui children, families and our community."

Imua Family Services helps children with special needs and their families achieve their full potential through support, education, prevention and treatment.

More than 2,300 people are helped each year through programs such as hearing screening, child development and You Make the Difference.
