Warriors defeat Na Alii, face Bears today for title

OLINDA - Whitney Santos had 10 kills, and Sage DeCosta and Ginger Long contributed eight apiece as Kamehameha Schools Maui defeated King Kekaulike 25-15, 25-6, 25-11 on Thursday in a Maui Interscholastic League girls volleyball tournament semifinal match at Erdman Athletic Center.

The Warriors, who won the regular-season championship, can claim the overall title by beating Baldwin today.

Teilissa Tua had seven kills and three blocks for Kamehameha. Long had two blocks, as did Santos, who also had six digs, along with Cymbree DeCosta, who contributed 19 assists as well. Kayla Al-Kaluau had three aces, and Kaulana Ane had 18 assists.
