The Maui News quotes Mayor Tavares as saying, "This latest action by Mr. Fosbinder is obviously spiteful and self-serving."
Good Lord, those were the same words I used right after she took office and said she was going to close all TVRs and enjoy being the highest paid mayor in the Hawaiian Islands!
I believe had she told the voters of Maui this prior to winning the race for mayor, she would be out there now working two jobs, like the rest of us, just to make ends meet!
This self-serving and spiteful mayor took it upon herself to start the economic crisis on Maui a year before it hit everywhere else in the world and then hide out while she let Jeff Hunt and his team of bullies do her dirty work to truly hurt so many hundreds of hardworking decent people of Maui.
Mr. Fosbinder, I can't wait to sign your recall petition, I just wish you had started this action two months after Tavares took office!
