Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali will flow with the Fall Festival of Wines Friday - and all proceeds go to Lahainaluna High School via the resort's Starwish Foundation.
The event will be uncorked from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Coral Reef Room with white and red wines paired with hors d'oeuvres.
Everything was donated by local vendors such as Southern Wine and Spirits, Majestic Wines, Better Brands, Fine Wine Imports, and Westin Maui's Tropica Restaurant.

The Sheraton's Executive Chef Bryan Ashlock will present the party spread. You'll find canapes such as spicy ahi poke on pita bread, turkey furikake in profiteroles, diver sea scallops on fennel puree and arugula, napoleon of fresh fruit, seared cowboy-cut ribeye steaks with roasted coconut sweet potato Duchess with lotus chips, and an assortment of mini French pastries.
As for the wines, examples include Guenoc pinot grigio, zinfandel and sauvignon blanc varietals; Five Rivers pinot noir; Napa Cellars merlot and cabernet sauvignon; and all manner of Kendall Jackson's red and white wines.
This is the first Fall Festival of Wines, but Cynthia Mayer, director of restaurants and organizer of the event, has high hopes for continuing with the promo in the future.
"We have had a lot of great response in the form of donations and volunteers," says Mayer. "It will be a wonderful evening, and I hope that we can make it an annual event."
Each guest will be entered to win one of two weekend getaways complete with a two-night resort stay at either the Sheraton Kauai or the Sheraton Keauhou on the Big Island.
The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has also created a special room rate of $159 plus tax and resort fee for the evening. For room reservations, guests may call 921-4646 and ask for rate KAMVIP.
