Tammy Abrew, 6, (left) and Lilia Damore, 6, share a moment outside Christ the King Church after performing “I Am But A Small Voice” for the congregation during a celebration Sunday morning. With food and festivities, parishioners celebrated the Kahului church’s 75th anniversary Sunday. The Roman Catholic parish emphasizes its unity amid diverse ethnic backgrounds that include Filipino, Hawaiian, Japanese, Portuguese and Tongan cultures. During the celebration, parishioners dressed to represent their cultures and recited prayers in their native tongues.
