Amanda Matsuda, 13, of Lahaina Intermediate School prepares to sink a free throw while participating in the coaches’ charity free throw contest at an early-morning press conference for the EA Sports Maui Invitational on Sunday. The event was held at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa. Matsuda was paired up with Roy Williams, head coach for the University of North Carolina, and all keiki participants went on to win a prize of $250 for their schools. Chaminade University hosts seven of the top collegiate teams from the Mainland when the action tips off today at the Lahaina Civic Center.
