KAHULUI - With the Thanksgiving weekend being one of the year's busiest times for state airports, travelers are advised to add 30 to 45 minutes to their expected airport arrivals and be prepared for crowded parking lots.
At the Kahului Airport, overflow parking will be available at the Aalele Street lot, with emergency parking allowed at Lot S, next to the commuter terminal. Signs will be posted to direct motorists when the main parking lot is full.
Residents picking up passengers at Kahului Airport may use the cellular phone waiting area located on Hemaloa Street, reached by taking the right turn just before entering the airport concourse. The cell phone parking area is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
