HONOLULU - Reporting high interest in the workshops, the Public Access Room of the state Legislative Reference Bureau has added a sixth workshop on Maui to provide information on getting access to the Legislature.
According to an announcement from the Public Access Room, the workshops will assist the public in preparing and submitting testimony for the legislative session, which opens on Jan. 21. Virginia Beck, assistant public access coordinator, will conduct the workshops.
The additional workshop is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Maui Community College Lahaina Education Center. For information on the site, call 662-3911.
Other one-hour sessions on Maui are scheduled:
* Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. at the Kahului Public Library.
* Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., Kihei Community Library.
* Thursday, 6:30 p.m., Wailuku Public Library. State Sen. Shan Tsutsui will participate.
* Dec. 5, 1 p.m., Hana Public Library.
* Dec. 8, 6:30 p.m., Hannibal Tavares Community Center, Pukalani.
