Through Dec. 31, Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu is offering 30 percent off its a la carte lunch for kamaaina, and guests receive a free tram tour ticket with each entree, but we hear some restrictions apply.
In addition, those with parties of 40 or more guests will get holiday buffet luncheons for $15 per adult, and dinner buffets for $24.

I'o Restaurant, located oceanfront in Lahaina, is offering 50 percent off entrees all night to kamaaina with Hawaii IDs through Dec. 20.
Choose from the I'o Trio of seared fresh catch with lobster curry, petit filet mignon and a petite veal osso buco with a braising demi, mushroom risotto to Scallops a la Bondage wrapped in sage and jalapeno bacon, with roasted Japanese eggplant, Hawaiian-style rice and ginger ponzu cream sauce. On the menu, all entrees have suggested wine pairings by the glass.
And, the I'o Wine Club will present Wines of the Great Northwest from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, paired with regional cuisine for $30 per person. Owner Stephan Bel-Robert says, "come at your leisure."
GIRLS NIGHT OUT . . . Gather your gal pals for the monthly series, Girls Night Out, to be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at The Melting Pot in Lahaina. It's now so popular, reservations are required.
"Anthea, the tarot card reader, will be available to read your fortune - she was a huge hit at our October event," says General Manager Cindy DelleFave. "We will also be giving away several gift bag door prizes. And there will be martini and sangria specials."
A four-course dinner at $35 per person includes cheddar cheese fondue, choice of Caesar or California salads and an entree platter of beef, chicken, shrimp, ravioli and vegetables; and dark chocolate dessert fondue that you may dip with cheesecake and brownies.
"Featured merchants are Quiet Storm - the surf shop downstairs from us in the mall. They will be putting on a fashion show throughout the night with men's, women's and children's fashion; Banana Wind with housewares; and Pure Romance with romantic novelties."
Wednesdays, you get 50 percent off wines with purchase of the Big Night Out menu.
BITS AND PIECES. . . Their slogan says, "We've been satisfying customers since 1967." Now, Buzz's Wharf in Maalaea is running with the Moonlight Martini & Pupu Hour from 8 to 9 nightly in the lounge. Buy one item and get the second one for half off.
Savor coconut-and-panko fried oysters, Buzz's famous steamers, stuffed shiitake mushrooms, crisp calamari rings and sweet Markea prawns cocktail.
Brigit & Bernard's Garden Cafe in Kahului Industrial Area just debuted a new beer and wine list as well as a host of new pupu. Enjoy bratwurst with sauerkraut, steak with pepper sauce, wiener schnitzel and calamari a la plancha with aioli - all cut up pupu style.
Come and enjoy a fun evening Saturday and listen to some world music with Jamallad and the Global Citizens. Admission is $10.
