Maui artists Ben Kikuyama and Madeline and Peter Powell will be showing their newest works at NaPua Gallery from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa.
Kikuyama is known for his found-object horse sculptures made of electric guitars, violins and kitchen utensils. The Powells, a husband-and-wife team, collaborate to create photo-realistic paintings that recall days of childhood and nostalgia.
Then from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, isle artists Diana Lehr and Tony Walholm will be featured. Lehr works with hued pastels and oils; light and color become tools for expression. Walholm uses oil and alkyd to weave color and texture, creating abstract paintings that depict raw emotion.
