From the outside, Pizza Madness is an unassuming restaurant tucked away next to Maui Dive Shop on South Kihei Road. In fact, many people think that it's located in the small hut in front of the dive shop and it's yet to open. But look beyond the hut to find it's in the main building.
Once inside, you'll notice the picnic tables are made of thick planks of wood. The room is cool and air-conditioned. And, the walls and the ceilings are adorned with crazy artwork of turtles, fish and other sea creatures eating pizza pies.
"The whole theme behind Pizza Madness is that it's designed to look like a boat on the bottom of the ocean with fish busting through the hull eating pizza," says owner Kirk Anderson. "We opened about a year ago in January of 2008."

Kirk is no newcomer to the restaurant business as he's owned other establishments, most recently two in Colorado.
"We do a thick chewy crust here," he says. "But if you want it thin, we can throw it that way to please everyone."
Besides a variety of pizzas in a number of sizes, Kirk also does a brisk business selling salads, hot and cold sandwiches and spaghetti.
"You may question our taste in cars, clothes and women. But you will NEVER question our taste in pizza," he says.
