MIL basketball roundup: Na Alii girls top Spartans in double overtime

Briani Carillo scored 13 points to lead the King Kekaulike High School girls basketball team to a 50-47, double-overtime victory over Maui High in a Maui Interscholastic League game Saturday at Na Alii's gym.

Leah Hashimoto and Blair Havron each added 12 points for Na Alii. Kaitlin Dela Cruz scored five of her seven points in the second overtime for King Kekaulike.

Cheyla Vega had a game-high 17 points for the Sabers. Vega finished 9-for-14 from the free-throw line.

Ashley Gonzales added 10 points for Maui High.

KING KEKAULIKE BOYS 47, MAUI HIGH 42: At Pukalani, Chris Curtis scored five of his team-high nine points in the fourth quarter for King Kekaulike.

With the game tied at 33-33 at the end of the third quarter, Na Alii outscored Maui High 14-9 in the final period.

B.J. Vega scored 19 points and Argus Annigat added 12 for the Sabers.

SEABURY HALL GIRLS 46, HANA 24: At Hana, Sierra Jacob scored 20 points and Ariel Duell added 10 for Seabury Hall.

Christine Pettit posted 15 points to lead Hana.

SEABURY HALL BOYS 55, HANA 39: At Hana, Phelan Pagano scored a game-high 18 points for Seabury Hall.

Michael Palmer had 15 points for the Spartans, who jumped out to a 16-4 lead during the first quarter.

Kalama Medeiros had 13 points and Holden Gorbea added 12 for Hana.
