Maui Hands Gallery in Lahaina will shine a light on the photography of Marty Wolff from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and Jan. 30 at 612 Front St.
A Bronx-born baby boomer, Wolff now shares his time between Los Angeles and Maui. Building upon the idea that "the world and its people are quite different from the way they appear," Wolff applied his art to the creation of psychedelic light shows. Through the late '70s and into the '80s, he traveled the world as a rock 'n' roll concert producer and lighting/stage designer. His work with light shows lent heavily to his style of ever-chang- ing movement on stage, according to a gallery release.
Maui Hands Gallery in Paia will showcase works by Linda Whittemore, with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at 84 Hana Highway. A drawing for a monotype will be held during the reception and pupus and drinks will be served.

Whittemore works in a printmaking style called viscosity monotype. She creates her pieces on a printmaking press by painting on a piece of plexiglass, then running the plate through a press at high pressure, resulting in an original print on paper.
Whittemore produces an annual collection of work for her one-woman exhibit at the Paia gallery. This year's show is titled "All About Joy," and speaks about our human ability to use negative situations in life as a tool for positive changes.
Ten of Lahaina Galleries' premier artists will gather to meet the public and celebrate the seventh annual "Art of Aloha" from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at its west side location, 828 Front St. in Lahaina.
Meet artists Gil Bruvel, Guy Buffet, Alessio and Marcello Bugagiar, Dario Campanile, Yankel Ginzburg, Aldo Luongo, Ronaldo Macedo, Andrea Razzauti, and Steve Turnbull, and hear them talk about their new pieces and describe their inspiration and process of completion. Wine and pupu will be served.
The gallery is also inviting the public for wine, pupu and conversation with sculptor Dale Zarrella from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Wednesday at the Lahaina gallery. Zarrella is known for his ethereal sculptures in exotic Hawaiian wood, bronze, and marble.
The Lahaina Galleries at The Shops of Wailea will host Italian master Dario Campanile during "WOW! Wailea on Wednesdays" from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wine and pupu will be served. Bold, forceful, and generally large in scale, Campanile's colors tend to be strident, and accidental effects, such as the natural flow of colors without restraint, are often present.
