WAIKAPU - Kimberly Wendt and John Gonsalves were married Dec. 20, 2008, by the Rev. Walter Baloaloa in a gazebo at the Maui Tropical Plantation.
The bride is the daughter of Carl and Donna Wendt of Makawao. She has been the office manager/broker's assistant at Jim Sanders Realty for the last 12 years and also works at Impressions Make-Up & Hair Salon as a cosmetologist.
The groom is the son of Damien and Marie Gonsalves of Wailuku. He is an employee of Costco Wholesale.

The matron of honor was Michelle Kaina, best friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Valerie Lorenzo, Jaime Morreira, Tracy Manlansing and Marlayna Gomes, all friends of the bride.
The best man was Nate Nishijo, childhood friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Jason Wendt, brother of the bride, and Bert Kuwahara, Nick Gomes and Chris Gomes, all friends of the groom.
Taylor Nishimura, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Skye Kaina was the ring girl and Gabrielle Kaina was the junior bridesmaid; both are daughters of the matron of honor.
A reception was held at the Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani with 400 guests and music by Ekolu.
The couple resides in Wailuku.
