Team wins spot at robotics world championship

Members of Maui High School’s robotics team
celebrate after winning a spot in the FIRST Robotics World Championship next month in Atlanta. A three-team alliance of Maui, McKinley and Moanalua high schools won the Hawaii Regional Robotics Competition held Friday and Saturday on the University of Hawaii’s Manoa campus. Waialua High School won the
Regional Chairman’s Award, while Baldwin High School advanced to the quarter-final round.
