KAHULUI - Maui music audiences can expect some fun April 28 when top-selling singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow performs in a 7 p.m. outdoor concert at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Tickets go on sale to MACC annual donors at 10 a.m. Friday. They go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. April 10 for this appearance by the distinctive musical artist who first burst on the scene singing, "All I wanna do is have some fun," and went on to land all five of her studio albums in the Top 10 with at least platinum certification.

The Tom Moffatt Production was announced Monday by MACC Vice President and General Manager Art Vento. It will take place in the new outdoor venue inaugurated by the rock group Journey in a March 23 concert. The new space has been necessitated by construction in the A&B Amphitheater area.

Crow is a nine-time Grammy winner known for her activism as well as her musical style blending rock, country, pop and folk. She has performed with the Rolling Stones, and her duet partners have included Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Kid Rock and numerous others.

Her newest album, "Detours," reflects her take on subjects including the demise of a relationship, the adoption of a child, her own bout with breast cancer, the war in Iraq, environmental disaster and New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

The album was inspired by "how I feel things are going in the world and what's happened to me the last couple of years," said Crow in a news release.

Reserved ticket prices are $45, $55 and $65, plus applicable fees, with a limited number of $125 tickets available. Patrons can become annual donors at the time of purchase Friday morning or can join the annual donor program online at www.mauiarts.org/donorbenefit.html. Ticket limits will apply based on the level of membership in the annual donor program. Tickets will be on sale at the MACC box office, online at www.mauiarts.org or by phone at 242-7469.
