Christopher Martens of the Big Island shares his love of music with those passing by along Hana Highway at the intersection with Baldwin Avenue on Monday afternoon in Paia. Martens has been playing the clarinet for over six years and said he doesn’t specialize in any genre of music. Instead, he prefers to let the scene in front of him inspire his musical choices. He said he’s been enjoying his time on the Valley Isle after arriving Sunday. “Maui has been good to me,” he said.
