Divers from Maui claim 15 state titles

HONOLULU --- Maui Diving won 12 titles Sunday at the Hawaii Diving Association Summer Championships at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex, and Iao Diving had three champions.

Maui Diving's Mahana Merrill won the 1-meter future champions level 2 title with a 99.50, and the 3-meter future champions level 1 crown with a 100.50. Gillian Hedden was the 1-meter future champions level 3 winner with a 101.00. Griffin Moes won the 1-meter future champions level 5 boys title with a 145.65. Lindsey Ranks won the 1-meter future champions level 5 girls title with a 151.95, and the 3-meter future champions level 2 title with a 103.50. Marianne Steve won the 3-meter 50-59 masters championship with a 203.40, and the 1-meter 50-59 masters title with a 213.05. Kayla Newman won the 3-meter future champions level 3 title with a 106.50, and the 11-and-under junior 1-meter title with a 162.05. Remy Henderson was the level 1 platform champion with a score of 95.00. Bill Sutton won the 40-49 masters platform title with a 182.70.

Ryan Brem of Iao Diving won the level 4 platform crown with an 88.50. Iao Diving's Dennis Rowe was the 3-meter 60-69 masters champion with a 267.35, and 60-69 masters platform winner with a 146.65.
